Re: In Honor of Earth Day!

TGIF Morning and Happy Earth Day!
In honor of lovely Mother Earth, I would like to feature 2 artists from my team ecoetsy on etsy, whose mission is to recreate recycled materials into works of art. Dawanna of peacesofindigo from TN creates jewelry with recycled and reclaimed materials. She uses precious metal clay, which is a medium designed to use reclaimed silver particles from electronics, film processing, etc. Hours of toil and hand work go into each piece and the end result is nearly perfect. Browse her shop @ http://www.etsy.com/shop/peacesofindigo and show some love. Dawanna also enjoys mommyhood, cooking, & playing legos with her children.

Another fantastic designer/artist is Abby Meadow of infusion - a line of sustainably made bags & textile goods. Working out of her home studio in Oregon, Abby loves natural things and strives to create durable, functional items that are made of  natural, organic, sustainable, recycled fibers and fabrics. I love her classic line of totes and clutches. Something for every lady of eco style @ http://www.etsy.com/shop/infusion
In Abby's words:
Nature is Life.
Life is natural.
Natural is beautiful.

Enjoy the weekend and celebrate mother earth for all that she has to offer, people often say paradise is right here on earth! Indeed it is.

Re: My new Miniature Collection!

Hello Pink Readers,
Work has kept me so busy for the past couple of days as I kept ruminating and dreaming of my new shop-Its always exciting and nerve-racking when you start something new-never know what to expect! I am happy with the way things have turned out so far. I simply wish to keep on painting away:)
My new collection is solely going to focus on miniature wood art pieces and other miscellaneous knick knacks with wood. Hope to have something for everyone! Browse my collection @ http://woodbits.etsy.com/

Its awesome fun to work with miniature sized things. There is some sense of satisfaction when people notice the effort and like your work. My new shop has already many hearts and facebook likes. So good going for my creative juices! I needed a shoulder/neck massage after the many hours I spent in front of my laptop-so got that little pampering and now ready for some more work!

Off to paint some more....maybe something different today!

Re: Pandraa's let's Print Love!

Good Morning!
I am in love with my new miniature Monarch Butterfly Brooch that I am working on currently. I love the way the wing span and the tiny little white spots have turned out. Will share pics soon...
I am also craving a yummy and healthy breakfast today-like maybe a fully loaded veggie omelette, lightly fried hashbrowns, grilled asparagus side, freshly squeezed orange juice, & tapioca pudding:)! Is that a simple wishlist or what? Better get to my cereal now and start my day!
I love Anusha's works of art on etsy-very whimsical, a good blend of Indian influence and modern contemporary painted pieces and prints. Anusha enjoys "hands on" painting and loves animals. Her work reflects a lot of colors, thoughts, textures, and the universal language of love. She also makes unique & cute jewelry. Browse her shop @ http://www.etsy.com/shop/pandraa and share some love.

Re: Enchanted Inspiration!

Good monday Y'all!
A long pending project got accomplished and now my new jewelry and magnet collection is ready for its spotlight. A couple of clicks and I will get busy listing'em. Yay! and a shoutout to my new handy dandy lightbox-courtesy my husband. Can't wait to use it......
Sometimes, travel and a change of scenario causes new inspirations and infuses fresh enthusiasm, especially for artists. One such jewelry maker is Julie of Gypsy Moon Designs, completely inspired by the land of enchantment-New Mexico. Julie found new creativity after her move to NM from SFO and says that Taos, New Mexico has influenced her style the most. Working from her home now set in the rocky mountains of Montana, Julie loves antiqued copper and uses it a lot in her designs. Very elegant and pretty are her creations. Such south western, bold influence too! Check out her etsy gallery @

Will get to work now and dabble in some colors myself.....enjoy the day and remember:

Re: Clay Bunnies and More...

A glass tile pendant and a couple of handmade cards and I am ready to list my new pieces and before I fall into that busy world of creating and listing, I would like to introduce my artist of the day- Trina from Trina's clay creations. Trina lives in Michigan and was a born crafter-Growing up, every year at Christmas time she enjoyed her family tradition of creating ornaments out of dough. Trina's craft grew over the years and the medium she loved to work with became polymer clay. Her craft was a hobby for many years until recently when she opened her etsy shop @ http://www.etsy.com/shop/trinasclaycreations
In Trina's words: "My family is very important to me and their constant belief in me and in my artwork has been inspirational. Inspiration is all around... let life inspire you!!!"

What a perfect piece for the season! See more of her cuties on her etsy shop and enjoy!

Re: Fused Glass Beauties!

Mid-week already?! This morning got off to a yawny start and is still going that way thanks to the weather outside.....I need to start and finish up my 6 day social media course from handmadeology and also put together my craft expense worksheets. Of course these are just the top two items not to mention the myriad other tasks I have been putting off for a few days now.....Aaaah!
Getting back to business, today's artist pick is Jenny Reinhart from OH, who enjoys creating through drawing, cold working and fusing glass, painting, and etching. Jenny took classes in Art and Business at Owens community college and The Toledo Museum of Art, when she fell in love with creating from glass. Being diagnosed with MS, Glass work is very therapeutic for Jenny who carefully designs her pieces. All of her fused glass creations are hand cut, fused, slumped and created by her. There is something for everyone one her etsy shop-so be sure to check it out @http://www.etsy.com/shop/glasscitygifts

My penchant for color makes this piece my fav!
